Welcome to the Bible Doctrine section of our blog!
Here, you’ll find a broad exploration of foundational Christian beliefs drawn from both the Old and New Testaments.
In Adam, In Christ: The Believer’s Journey to Righteousness
The Christian journey from being “in Adam” to “in Christ” involves a profound transformation, beginning with imputed righteousness—where Christ’s righteousness is credited to the believer through faith—and continuing with the lifelong process of sanctification. While believers are declared righteous by God, they are also gradually transformed by the Holy Spirit into Christlikeness, called to live out their new identity through good works and love for others.
Conditional and Unconditional Covenants
The study of conditional and unconditional covenants is vital to understanding God’s redemptive plan, particularly His promises to Israel and their fulfillment in the Millennial Kingdom. While conditional covenants, like the Mosaic Covenant, depend on obedience for blessing, unconditional covenants, such as the Abrahamic Covenant, represent God’s unbreakable promises, which will be fully realized through Christ’s reign in the future kingdom.
What Does it Mean to Live by the Spirit?
Living by the Spirit, as outlined in Romans 8:1-4, means being liberated from condemnation and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live in alignment with God’s will, rather than following the sinful desires of the flesh. This Spirit-led life results in exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit, reflecting Christ’s character, and navigating emotions in ways that honor God and bring life and peace.
